Team Overview: Our Pediatrics Team specializes in compassionate medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. Led by pediatricians and supported by nurses and specialists, we focus on preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease treatment. Work Hours: Two (2) closing shifts: 12 pm - 8 pmThree (3) 10 am – 6 pm shifts Alternating Sundays and Fridays 9 am - 5 pm Position Overview: Patient-Centered Care: Delivering patient-centered care by obtaining detailed patient histories that prioritize the unique developmental stages and health needs of children. Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate and support pediatric health. Accurate recording of comprehensive patient information guides informed medical decisions tailored to each child's growth and well-being. Empower Patient Wellness: Champion pediatric patient success by providing compassionate guidance through examinations, treatments, and consultations designed to ensure child comfort and confidence. Collaborate closely with caregivers and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that promote pediatric health and development milestones. Facilitate Coordination and Communication: Serving as a primary point of contact for pediatric patients and their families, facilitate clear communication to ensure continuity of care. Coordinate referrals to pediatric specialists, diagnostic tests, and follow-up appointments to streamline care pathways. Efficient management of pediatric medication prescriptions and refills enhances adherence and contributes to positive health outcomes. Excellence in Clinical Practice: Conduct and interpret pediatric-specific diagnostic tests and screenings accurately to aid in timely diagnoses and treatments. Assist pediatricians during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring comprehensive care delivery. Collaboration with interdisciplinary pediatric teams promotes holistic health management and preventive care strategies tailored to children's unique healthcare needs. Maintain Clinical Standards: Uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness and safety in pediatric examination rooms and procedural areas. Sterilize and maintain pediatric medical instruments and supplies to create a safe and hygienic environment. Adherence to infection control protocols is paramount to safeguarding pediatric patient health and well-being. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing, equipped with the skills to thrive Licensed/Registered in New York State as an LPN, showcasing your dedication to professional standards CPR Certification required, reflecting your commitment to quality care Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Electronic Medical Records Phlebotomy certification Knowledge of medical terminology Pay & Benefits: $32 per hour, commensurate with experience.
