Job Summary: The Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This role involves utilizing advanced imaging technologies and maintaining compliance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures per protocol.
- Utilize PACS and EMR systems effectively for patient management.
- Maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency for procedural safety.
- Follow established protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection.
- Execute office duties as required to support departmental operations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders involved in the patient care process.
- Clean and inspect departmental equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Clean and stock imaging rooms to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications: Associate degree in a relevant field. ARRT Certification in Radiology. IEMA certification. BLS certification. Preferred Qualifications: Technical experience of 3 years in a similar role. Certifications: - ARRT Certification in Radiology.
