Responsibilities:
- Operate, adjust and sterilize the CT Scanner for each use.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure correct imaging protocols are followed and that the imaging results are high-quality and allow for proper diagnosis.
- Maintain a high level of customer service through positive patient interaction and communication by thoroughly explaining procedures and positioning the patient to their comfortability.
- Troubleshoot and report any issues with imaging equipment to appropriate personnel or vendors for timely repair.
- Maintains CT scanning schedule to optimize CT utilization and overall clinic flow.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients and team members from unnecessary exposure.
- Obtain preauthorization for radiology procedures.
- Document patient care services in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Maintains accreditation standards and supports the tri-annual accreditation renewal process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Certified Radiology Technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
- Experience in Head and Neck CT Scanning preferred.
- CT Certification is not required.
- Valid Driver's License
- A resident of Minnesota/Western Wisconsin or in the process of relocating to Minnesota.
