Certifications: BLS required or scheduled within six months of hire; ACLS, PALS, BLS (AHA)
Must-Have: Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred); Valid driver's license
Job Description:
- Evaluate and treat schoolchildren (ages 3-21) with physical, mental, and/or cognitive deficits impeding classroom success.
- Focus on functional outcomes within the academic setting.
- Accountable to the School Therapy Program Coordinator and Rehabilitation Services Manager.
- Collaborate with medical and clinical staff, special education instructors, paraprofessionals, teachers, professional staff, and administrators.
- Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
- Provide occasional weekend coverage (every 6th weekend, inpatients only, not full days).
