Job Description MAJOR FUNCTION :
Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations as prescribed by a licensed radiologist, interventional radiologist, interventional cardiologist, or vascular surgeon. Assists physicians with all aspects of a wide variety of procedures including diagnostic, routine, and emergent cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiographic procedures. Utilizes radiation producing equipment within established departmental guidelines serving adult and geriatric patients, collection and maintenance of radiology QA, distribution and collection of dosimetry badges, cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, patient preparation and assisting scrub responsibilities, maintains a fiscally responsible working inventory of specialized procedural supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience: - AMA approved, accredited program in Radiologic Technoloy.
- Experience preferred but new graduates are acceptable.
- Per diem requires 1-2 years' experience.
Certification/Licensure: - Radiologic Technologist Registry (ARRT) required.
- American Heart Association BLS required.
- Basic Dysrhythmia required within one month of hire.
- American Heart Association ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
- RCIS preferred.
