Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Nursing
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience: Minimum 3 years of current medical-surgical nursing experience; previous travel experience of at least 6 months required; High preference for Tele/Progressive Care experience.
License: State nursing license required
Certifications: Required certifications must be uploaded with profile.
Must-Have:
- EPIC EMR experience
- Traveler must have their own vehicle
Job Description:
- Formulate and revise an individual plan of care based on patient response to treatment; evaluate the overall plan for effectiveness.
- Coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary.
- Organize and prioritize job functions efficiently.
- Utilize assessment data to identify patient care needs, including education and discharge planning.
- Recognize and report abnormal assessment data, incorporating findings into the plan of care; validate and revise expected outcomes as needed.
- Accurately and legibly document all patient care activities, including wound assessment, patient education, demonstrated progress towards goals, medication administration, nursing flow sheets, and assessment forms.
- Delegate tasks to healthcare team members appropriately.

- Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5, potentially 1:7 on Nights.
- Dress code: Any color of scrubs.
- Non-billable orientation included: 8 hours.
- Call, call-back, and charge not applicable.
- Holidays and weekends required as needed.
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly encouraged; exemption forms available upon request for review.
- Block scheduling will not be considered.
- Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are encouraged to apply for permanent positions.
