The CT/Radiologic Technologist at Preston Memorial Hospital Mon Health System provides high quality radiologic care to patients for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders while practicing ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) for radiation exposure to the patient and self. The CT/radiologic Technologist provides extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care, and clinical excellence, one patient at a time. The CT/Radiologic Technologist position will function across general radiography, surgery, and CT modalities.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
o Required: Incumbent must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
EXPERIENCE
o One year of experience in general radiography and CT preferred, but not required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
• Current WV Imaging license required
• Current registry with ARRT or be registry eligible if new graduate. Must pass registry within 6 months of hire.
• CPR Certification
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide radiologic services to patients in a manner utilizing the least amount of radiation exposure possible to provide optimum radiographic images in CT and Diagnostic x-ray modalities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Light Work: Exerting up to 200 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols and manufacturer's guidelines when handling equipment, while demonstrating proficiency in communicating issues and independently cleaning and stocking rooms.
• RIS and PACS
Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols when operating computers to ensure patient confidentiality, validity of charges, validity of data in in all systems, and quality images submitted for radiologist's interpretation. Promote hospital and department policies and procedures. Protects patient rights to privacy and confidentiality.
Use effective communication skills in interactions with patients, families, and other members of the health care team. Obtain pertinent data in an objective and professional manner. Consistently communicate in a manner that demonstrates a positive and cooperative attitude.
