Position Summary & Responsibilities Position Summary: This position is responsible for the obligation and expenditure records of all state funded accounts for the Ellsworth Correctional Facility. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: This position works at the Ellsworth Correctional Facility under the supervision of the Accountant III. The incumbent in this position provides accounting support for the work group and performs duties associated with functions of the Business and Accounting Offices. Duties include, but not limited to, auditing purchase orders and obligations for correct funding, account codes, and dollar amounts on all state funded accounts. Creates vouchers and corrects any errors or exceptions on vouchers. Monitors and reconciles purchases made by the business procurement cardholders. Corresponds with other state agencies and vendors relative to accounting matters. Responsible for receipts and expenses in the Employee Use Fund, Inmate Benefit Fund, and Imprest Fund.
Qualifications - Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licensing & Certification : Must have a valid driver's license. Minimum Qualifications : O ne year of experience in accounting/auditing support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs necessary.
