RemX is seeking a Field Service & Installation Technician for our client at their Tomball, TX location. Our client is a premier provider and servicer of compressed air systems. They are the one-stop shop for clients seeking support with their air handling equipment needs and are the leader of compressed air services in the US.

Positions are typically Monday- Friday roles with OT as needed, rotating weekend shifts and occasional overnight travel as business needs demand.

Pay $24- $35 hourly BOE.

**Position requires prior experience with a service-based organization, a clean driving record, and prior experience working with compressed air equipment.**

Job Description:
n
n- Install compressed air piping systems according to blueprints, layout diagrams, and specifications provided by the client, project manager or sales engineers.
n- Choose suitable piping materials based on factors such as air pressure requirements, flow rate, environmental conditions, and compatibility with compressed air.
n- Calculate pipe sizes and layout configurations to ensure adequate airflow and pressure throughout the system.
n- Mount and support piping systems securely using hangers, brackets, clamps, and other fixtures to prevent sagging, vibration, and damage.
n- Ensure proper anchoring to walls, ceilings, or structural supports as necessary.
n- Join pipes and fittings using appropriate methods such as threading or mechanical connections like compression fittings and push-to-connect fittings.
n- Apply sealants, tape, or thread compounds as needed to ensure airtight connections and prevent leaks.
n- Conduct pressure tests on installed piping systems to verify integrity and identify any leaks or weaknesses.
n- Perform adjustments or repairs as necessary to achieve compliance with safety standards and client specifications.
n- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the installation process, including proper handling of tools and equipment, use of personal protective gear, and precautions against electrical hazards, confined spaces, and falling objects.
n- Maintain accurate records of materials used, installation procedures, pressure test results, and any modifications or repairs made to the piping system.
n- Provide documentation to clients or project managers upon completion of the installation.
n- Coordinate closely with other tradespeople, such as compressor technicians, electricians, and equipment installers, to ensure seamless integration of the compressed air piping system with other components of the facility or infrastructure.

Requirements:
n
n- Previous experience in installing compressed air piping systems or similar mechanical installations.
n- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
n- Knowledge of compressed air system components, including compressors, dryers, filters, regulators, and pneumatic tools.
n- Familiarity with relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
n- Physical fitness and agility to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
