Leidos is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization, and maintenance of network infrastructures including LAN/WAN, Video, Voice, and desktop systems. We are looking for innovative thinkers who can leverage their expertise to develop unique solutions to complex networking challenges. This role involves maintaining and upgrading both hardware and software to ensure seamless network availability for all users.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Architecting technical solutions for unclear challenges, applying deep technical knowledge.
- Utilizing diverse data sources to fully comprehend issues and inform solutions, demonstrating expertise in network monitoring tools and data analysis.
- Evaluating network service requests and validating inquiries.
- Assessing existing and prospective network infrastructures to determine solution requirements.
- Maintaining network hardware and software, alongside network layer communications for effective transport.
- Monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to ensure performance.
- Creating and updating comprehensive documentation for network infrastructure.
- Collaborating on the development of network architectures and strategic roadmaps.
- Supporting design documentation, factory testing, and integration of network systems.
- Managing installations, upgrades, and support for operating systems and network hardware/software products.
- Partnering with stakeholders to establish priorities, including multi-year road maps, strategic upgrades, and process improvements.
- Presenting to client approval boards.
- Contributing to training plans for new employees and mentoring junior team members on network systems and best practices.
- Enhancing leadership skills through mentoring, leading small projects, and participating in leadership development programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience with programs of comparable size and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 years of experience, or Master's degree with at least 15 years, or a combination of 20 years of experience in lieu of education.
- Hands-on experience in network engineering and network administration.
- Proven record of performing network engineering or administration functions on similar scale programs.
- Required experience with Cisco and Juniper architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco or Juniper certifications.

Pay Range: $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
