The level and degree of job responsibilities and requirements vary depending on months of experience and assigned job step.nnExperience LevelnnEntrynnPrimary Responsibilities and Dutiesnn• Learn to reads and interprets blue prints, instructions, and other documentation or plan work activities.nn• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.nn• Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt mastic.nn• Learn to fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.nn• Install sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.nn• Covers or seals insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to structure, according to type of insulation used and structure covered, using staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun.nn• Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.nnQualificationsnn• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.nn• Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for positionnn• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervisionnn• Field experience in chosen craft disciplinenn• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.nnRequirementsnn• The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,nnso should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlnn• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoornnweather conditionsnn• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requirednn• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessnnrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andnnmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsnn• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesnn• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentnn• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds acrossnnconstruction/industrial sitenn• Must have required toolsnn• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requirednn• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and backgroundnnchecknnWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
