Accounting Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an accounting specialist for a growing client in downtown Cincinnati. The Accounting Specialist will support the financial management of our client's projects. This role involves job costing, financial reporting, and general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the construction industry and be able to work well with project managers and other team members. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $24 and $27/hr.
Responsibilities: - Track and allocate costs to specific construction projects. Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Provide financial updates to management.
- Handle invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections.
- Help prepare and monitor project budgets. Report any variances between actual and budgeted costs.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Assist with audits.
- Work with project managers, procurement, and other departments for accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Qualifications: - Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- At least 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of job costing and project accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
