This position will rotate to all MR locations.nnJob Type: Per DiemnnWork Shift: VariablennWhat You Will DonnTo perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed.nnRequired QualificationsnnSatisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.nnAHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIREDnnVenipuncture Certification - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIREDnnMagnetic Resonance Imaging Certification (MR)(ARRT) - ARRT OR ARMRIT Certification - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists -REQUIREDnnPreferred Qualificationsnn1 Year dedicated MRI experience.nnEssential FunctionsnnCommunicationCommunicates pertinent system issues to the Lead/Supervisor/PACS Manager/Systems Analyst or vendor on a timely basis.Communicate equipment, employee, supply, adverse incidents, and workman's compensation issues to Lead/Supervisor in an appropriate time frame.Communicate openly and positively any changes to all departmental employees.Ensure employee/patient confidentiality is restricted to private area(s) and appropriate person(s).nnDaily operationsMaintains department regulatory requirements.Verify physician order and utilizes RIS correctly to complete all documentation.Accurately completes exams in RIS in real-time filling out appropriate information (contrast, QC, resource, technical modifiers, billing modifiers, coding of exam, technologist/student/RN/Radiologist).Ensure all exams have been completed in RIS and confirm images are sent to PACS. CIS-Confirmed in SynapseComplete no show charge slips for accuracy and submit for billing and submit to Lead.Ensure paperwork is completed appropriately.nnDepartment operationsAccurately utilize RIS and Synapse downtime procedures when necessary.Ensure while working in department following guidelines in compliance with AAAHC.Demonstrates ability to make timely, accurate and safe decisions regarding patients. Even if those decisions are not covered by written or verbal instructions.Apply techniques to improve patient care by rounding with staff, patients and family.Actively sets priorities, adjusting to unscheduled situations.Evaluate work completed in department matches billed exam.
