Job Summary
Enterprise Information Services is responsible for Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT environment. As the Windows Endpoint Systems Administrator (Application Administrator Specialist II/IV) you will oversee Windows systems patching, application packaging and configuration deployment to systems that support some of the company's most critical business services. You will join a company that develops cutting edge solutions for our nation's most complex space enterprise and mission assurance challenges. You will work with technical teams to reduce vulnerabilities, improve security and maintain a minimum system state across the fleet of endpoints. You will become part of the Device Management Engineering team, which is responsible for the development and sustainment of endpoint security tools for the Aerospace Corporation.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Configure, package and deploy applications with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on workstations
- Create automated solutions to remediate desktop vulnerabilities using modern endpoint management tools
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies in reporting
- Work directly with engineers, operations teams, and customers to remediate endpoint vulnerabilities
- Incident response resolution and reporting (zero-day patching)
- Perform fault-finding, analysis, and logging of information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
- Act as an escalation point for desktop support in incident management
What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for
Applications Administrator Specialist III :
- Six years of related experience with MECM
- Experience administering endpoint management programs by updating and packaging software applications, and system configuration
- Experience developing custom software package configurations and supporting scripts
- Experience with MECM/SCCM patching and endpoint patch management
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux to include maintenance, security configuration, administration, and issue resolution
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- This position will require a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the
Applications Administrator Specialist IV include:
- Ten years of related experience with MECM

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Information Security
- Experience with automation and orchestration using tools such as MECM, PowerShell or Ansible
- Experience identifying and developing automated solutions to improve efficiency
- Experience administering Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune with co-management, Microsoft BitLocker
- Experience with Mac MDM patching and endpoint patch management
- Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
