SUMMARY : Assists with the milk balancing functions including data entry, administrative support and reconciliation of customer and member milk pounds all while working under very tight deadlines. Provides support to the producer payroll process including sorting, stuffing and mailing of checks. Provides customer service to all members. Will serve as a backup for the other employees on the Producer Payroll team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Responsible for keying tickets and ticket corrections
- Balances total raw milk pounds semi-monthly delivered to select customers
- Responsible for checking missing pounds report twice monthly before payroll runs and tracking down any that are missing via the hauler, field rep, etc.
- Responsible for sending components, VMC, and BTU reports to milk plants once monthly.
- Assists with the processing and distribution of producer pay statements & checks as well as the distribution of assignment checks, and hauler pay statements & checks.
- Provides administrative support as needed to the department
- Serve as backup to all personnel in the Producer Payroll department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma or GED
- Accounting experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Strong customer service background, or good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with numbers and do basic math functions
- Ability to do 10 key data entry
- Ability to examine and verify documents and reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, members and other business associates
- Ability to work in an extremely deadline driven environment
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to prepare various reports and analysis
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
