A leading financial services firm is looking for a Payroll Specialist for their Palm Beach Gardens location. This candidate will help in processing payroll and equity compensation, as well as, run benefits orientation for new employees and manage leave-of-absence tracking
Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payroll and equity compensation
- Run benefits orientation for new employees and manage leave-of-absence tracking
- Accurately process and maintain weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
- Review all garnishments and ensure compliance
- Coordinate distribution of payroll reports/checks as needed
- Audit all payroll information for accuracy to ensure completeness
- Audit and process expense reports
- Assist with verification of employment requests
- Process payroll deductions for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, health, FSA and HSA, dependent life, group term life, 401k and 401k loans, and garnishments
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in the HR field
- Experience processing multi-state US payroll preferably within the financial industry
- Knowledge of FMLA processing and ability to manage multi-state LOA plans
- Detail oriented
- Strong Excel skills with ability to analyze large volume of data with accuracy
Desired Qualifications - CPP, PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
- Experience with Workday HCM tool is a plus
- Experience processing equity payroll is a plus
