Reports To: Trading Operations Manager
Job Summary: We are working with a well known firm, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Support Analyst to join their dynamic trading operations team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in trade support, with a strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and operational processes. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Monitoring and Support:
- Monitor and support trading activities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
- Ensure all trades are accurately captured, processed, and settled in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies and issues in collaboration with traders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
System Management:
- Maintain and enhance trading systems and platforms to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Coordinate with IT and development teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and new functionalities.
- Conduct regular system testing and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Operational Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with trade processing and settlement.
- Develop and implement controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients regarding trade-related inquiries and issues.
- Provide timely and accurate information to clients, brokers, and counterparties.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth trading operations.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze trade reports, metrics, and performance indicators.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve trading processes and operational efficiency.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management and regulatory purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in trade support or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and operational processes.
- Proficiency in trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and order management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SQL, VBA, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
