Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Description:

We are looking for an Entry-Level Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team. In this role, you’ll assist with the installation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle databases in a Unix environment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to gain hands-on experience and work alongside senior DBAs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation , configuration , and maintenance of Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and assist with basic performance tuning.
• Support backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
• Manage user roles and permissions for database security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic database issues .
• Contribute to technical documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science , IT , or related field.
• Experience: 1+ years in IT, with exposure to Oracle databases and Unix/Linux systems.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL , Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) , and database administration concepts.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with backup/recovery and ETL processes.
• Understanding of database performance tuning and security .
