Job Title : In-House Counsel

Location : Arcadia, CA

Salary : $100,000-$130,000

Responsibilities : In this role, you will assist the General Counsel with a variety of matters that arise in the legal department. As In-House Counsel, you will

• Perform legal research on a variety of topics, including real estate, employment disputes, and habitability claims.
• Oversee the Unlawful Detainer docket and perform discovery, engage in motion practice and prepare for trials.
• Appear for motion hearings, ex-parte hearings and trials
• Assist with pre-litigation dispute resolution
• Review and update corporate forms and documents, including lease agreements and property management forms.

Must-Have Skills :

• You must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be in good standing with the CA Bar.
• You must have 1-3 years of litigation/trial prep experience
• You must have 1-3 years of discovery experience, including written discovery, depositions, and 3rd party subpoenas.

Nice to Have Skills :

• Unlawful Detainer trial experience a major plus!
• Employment Law experience is a major plus!
