PROJECT MANAGER – MECHANICAL HVAC (BUILDING SERVICES)

What You Will Be Doing


We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join our team, overseeing all aspects of HVAC/Mechanical construction projects in the building services sector. This role focuses on ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved while meeting profitability goals.


The Ideal Candidate


  • Manage all assigned projects, excluding manpower coordination, which is handled by Field Superintendents and the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct project head-start meetings with estimators to acquire all relevant project details.
  • Review and finalize project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement, assembly, and approval of submittals with the Project Coordinator.
  • Perform equipment buyouts and oversee equipment purchases for each project.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs, change orders, and monthly work-in-progress projections.
  • Conduct regular reviews of job costs and schedules of values.
  • Manage project closeouts, including securing final punch list completion, retention billing, and ensuring all required documents are completed.


Other Essential Functions


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC/Mechanical construction.
  • A minimum of 4–6 years of project management experience in HVAC/Mechanical systems, with additional experience in healthcare or building services preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC/Mechanical construction processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in project management software, as well as tools like AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Expertise in coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to deadlines.
  • Effective leadership to guide project teams and stakeholders.
