Responsibilities:

Review project requests, safety instructions, and blueprints to understand specifications.

Dismantle, assemble, and replace mechanical components in rail equipment (HVAC, brake, propulsion).

Analyze subsystems for design compliance and modify as needed.

Record activities on data sheets.

Conduct quality tests for safe component performance.

Potential training to qualify as a class four train operator for moving rail equipment.

Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Manual and/or schematic knowledge; mechanical and electrical aptitude.

1 year of rail maintenance experience preferred; construction or warehouse experience is a plus.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Diesel/Mechanical Vocational Certificate required if no relevant experience.

Pay:

$28.68/hour
