Job Description

About the company

Recover is a startup working to make addiction treatment and mental healthcare more effective, accessible, and affordable. We work with governments to use technology and medicine to improve outcomes for people who need care.

Our program is a tech-enabled treatment program for people with substance use and mental challenges. We use a harm reduction approach to treatment, and are focused on serving marginalized and underserved communities. This role is the first full-time hire in our Rocklin office, and will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the office and working to support Recover across the state. We are a small team growing quickly, and looking for people to grow with us.

Our team includes people from Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and White House alums.

The opportunity

As an Administrative Assistant for Recover, you’ll be responsible for providing a professional, caring, and supportive outward face for the company. You will handle standard clerical front office tasks and ensure that our patients have a smooth experience along their recovery journey. You will also answer phones, complete and file paperwork, and conduct patient intakes. You'll also assist with the administration of our new DUI program.

As part of your role, you will be expected to schedule patients and enter data into electronic health records. You’ll have the opportunity to grow with us, and work with patients from across the state.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. You will report to the Head of Clinical Operations.

Need to have:

· 1+ year of administrative assistant experience in a medical setting, or 2+ years of administrative experience total

· Able to work in-person in Rocklin, CA

Nice to have:

· Experience in a substance use or medical setting

· Experience with telehealth

· Lived experience with substance use disorders

· Fluent in Spanish

Culture:

  • Do no harm: We are dedicated to helping all patients, without exception or compromise. If we do not think we can help, we will do our best to find someone who can.
  • Remember the mission: Patients come first – always.
  • Work together: Addiction affects people in every aspect of their life. We need to serve them accordingly.
  • Everyone matters: We believe that best-in-class treatment should be available to everyone regardless of geography, history, or income and are working to make that belief a reality.
  • Follow the data: Recover is an evidence–based program. We are constantly tracking and incorporating the latest research and using data to improve our programs. Addiction is a medical problem not a moral one, and we treat it as such.
  • Prioritize progress: We meet our patients where they are. Everyone’s recovery is different, and we are here to help, regardless of where they are on that journey.
