Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multifamily Project Manager to join our team in Miami, FL. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing multifamily construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multifamily development and construction processes, along with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multifamily projects in the Miami area, from pre-construction to project handover.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring effective execution across all stages.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, design, and execution.
  • Budget & Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare financial reports for management and assist with the approval process for any changes or claims.
  • Risk & Quality Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards, and maintain compliance with safety protocols on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Team Leadership & Communication:
  • Lead and motivate the project team, including subcontractors and field personnel, ensuring high performance and alignment with project goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Foster a collaborative and solutions-oriented working environment.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations:
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, property owners, investors, and other stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
  • Represent the company at meetings with stakeholders, including zoning boards, city planners, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Post-Construction & Handover:
  • Oversee the project handover process, ensuring all documentation, warranties, and as-built drawings are provided to the client.
  • Ensure any post-construction issues or warranty claims are addressed promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
  • Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing multifamily construction projects. Experience with high-rise, mixed-use, or luxury multifamily developments is preferred.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes in Miami/Dade County.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions.
  • Occasional travel to other project locations as needed.
  • Strong familiarity with Miami’s construction market and permitting processes.
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus, but not required.
