As the Senior Maintenance and Reliability Manager at Southwire, you will spearhead the maintenance operations at one of Southwire‘s level one sites, overseeing a substantial team of Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Electronics Technicians, and Supervisors. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. As a member of the plant leadership team, you will lead maintenance strategies, manage large-scale projects, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a large team of Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Electronics Technicians, and Supervisors fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and high performance.
• Drive reliability and maintenance improvement through adoption and adherence to roadmap strategies including preventive and predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling, CMMS utilization, and problem solving through Root Cause Analysis.
• Analyze key performance indicators to recognize performance gaps that drive improvement in cost position, productivity, and equipment availability.
• Incorporate a reliability-centered approach to achieve best-in-class performance of the maintenance organization through failure elimination and consequence reduction.
• Work closely with maintenance customers to achieve budget adherence while facilitating decision making through forecasts of spend and participation in cost-effective solutioning.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to implement process improvements / upgrades.
• Ensures success of modernization contributions by participating in early equipment management activities and ensuring adherence to commissioning requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Work with maintenance supervisors to develop annual training plans for technicians to ensure individual and team capabilities exist to provide quality of service and lessening dependencies on resources outside of the organization. Achieve the annual training goal set for training hours per craftsperson.
• Create annual training plans for direct reports (supervisors, engineers and planners) and ensure adherence.
• Lead and manage large maintenance projects from planning and scheduling to execution and evaluation.

Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in implementing maintenance strategies, optimizing process effectiveness, and managing maintenance budgets.
• Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices, including corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance.
• Experience with the wire and cable manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large and diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and software, preferably SAP PM.
- Have led maintenance department in 500+ manufacturing location is a plus.
