- Practice Setting: Hospital-based (includes 4 hours of clinical time).
- Patient Demographics: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
- Average Surgical Cases: Based on ER patient flow.
- Trauma Level: III
- EMR System: EPIC.
- OR Facilities: 9 operating rooms.
- Current Team: 4 general surgeons.
Procedural Requirements - General Surgical Cases:
- Adult and trauma cases.
- Laser-certified procedures.
- Chest wall/pleural procedures.
- Ventilation management, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, chest tube insertion.
- Aneurysm repairs.
- Abdominal and vascular access devices, AV shunt, hernioplasty.
- Cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication.
- Upper and lower sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.
Qualifications - Board Certification: ABOS or AOBOS - Required.
- Licensing:
- Active Virginia license - Required (must already be active).
- BLS and ACLS certification - Required.
- COVID Vaccination: Preferred (must have before credentialing).
- Background: Clean background highly preferred.
