We are a rapidly growing organization in the Rahway, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Quality Control Supervisor-Bilingual Spanish to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Quality Control Supervisor with a strong background in food manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee quality assurance processes, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and lead a team in maintaining the highest product standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of food manufacturing quality systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and train Quality Control (QC) technicians and staff.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the facility.
Act as the primary liaison between the Quality department and other departments.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, such as FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMPs.
Implement, monitor, and maintain quality control programs and procedures.
Conduct internal audits and prepare for third-party inspections and audits.
Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Production Oversight
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Perform routine product and raw material testing to verify compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns in real-time.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Generate and present quality reports to management.
- Manage and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality processes.
- Bilingual Communication
- Facilitate effective communication and training for Spanish-speaking employees-required
- Translate quality standards and policies into Spanish as needed.
Job Requirements:
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience may be considered.
7+ years of quality control experience in a food manufacturing environment.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMPs.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and equipment.
May require standing, walking, or lifting for extended periods.
