The Position:

Junior Graphic Designer


Location:

Chicago, IL


Overview:

AKIRA is looking for an innovative, experienced Jr. Graphic Designer to assist with the creation of the eCommerce and Brick and Mortar design experience. This position will collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer and Visual Merchandising team to connect the design vision across all mediums.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist the lead designer in creating assets for web, social media, & marketing purposes including email design
  • Work closely with store visual team to design graphics and in-store visual directives to be used across all stores nationwide
  • Additional support with miscellaneous design tasks for internal use


Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to work with brand guidelines and have an eye for design and women's fashion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines


The Ideal Candidate Has/Is:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a graphic design field
  • Exceptional work ethic and motivation to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and diligent task follow-through
  • Highly collaborative, responsive team player
