Project Manager – Regulatory Change Management System Implementation
Project Overview: The Legal Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Regulatory Change Management System. This role requires a dynamic individual with experience in deploying systems, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of organizational change management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
o Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and roadmaps to guide the implementation process.
o Define project scope, deliverables, and key milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
o Monitor project progress and address risks, issues, and changes proactively to ensure successful delivery.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with legal, compliance, IT, and other relevant teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
o Serve as one of the points of contacts for project-related communication and updates.
o Facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings to drive decision-making and ensure consensus.
3. System Implementation:
o Oversee the configuration, and deployment of the Regulatory Change Management System.
o Collaborate with vendor and internal teams to ensure system integration and functionality meet user and business requirements.
o Ensure the system implementation enhances operational efficiency.
4. User Experience and Training:
o Design user-friendly processes ensuring a seamless experience for end-users.
o Coordinate user training and support to facilitate adoption and competency with the new system.
o Gather and incorporate user feedback during pilot phases to optimize system performance.
5. Organizational Change Management:
o Develop and execute a change management strategy to support the transition to the new system.
o Create communication plans to inform and engage employees throughout the project lifecycle.
o Address resistance to change and provide support to teams adapting to new workflows and processes.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Experience managing and implementing systems, preferably within legal, compliance, or regulated environments.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
• Skills:
o Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project plans and roadmaps.
o Strong understanding of user experience design principles and system implementation best practices.
o Expertise in organizational change management methodologies and tools.
o Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).

Technology Requirements: System is a regulatory change management system that scans regulatory sites and flags relevant regulations requiring monitoring, and impact assessment by attorneys and compliance professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAS implementation, working with vendor programmers, IT and vendor project managers. Additional experience automating manual processes, and building user experience scenarios.
What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Working with attorneys, vendor, and legal project manager to build out the system use cases. This will include validating regulations identified In the system. Aligning system findings with attorney expectations, recalibrating system parameters based on findings. Uploading documents to system and validating the accuracy of documents mapped to regulations. Producing project status updates, dashboards. Working with pilot participants and vendor to trouble shoot issues.
Preferred background/prior work experience? Project management, business operations. Experience working with attorneys/compliance and/or and understanding of regulatory change management. This is a new process for the legal department. We will need someone with experience driving organizational change management.
