Job Description:
The Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center at Phillips Academy has a Full time Clinical Flow Nurse opening. This is a staff RN with the additional responsibility of promptly and accurately making assessments and triages students during busy times to the appropriate level of care based on acuity. Their time is spent both remaining focused and organized on student acuity during busy times and managing the flow of patient care throughout the Wellness Center, as well as seeing students in the outpatient nursing capacity. The Schedule is below: Week 1: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm Week 2: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5pm, Saturday 7am – 3:30pm Week 3: Sunday 7am – 3:30pm, Tuesday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm Week 4: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm The scheduled is for the academic year plus summer session General ResponsibilitiesAssesses and triages patients quickly and accurately based on level of care base on acuityGeneral Nursing Responsibilities & SkillsOutpatient & Extended CarePathology & LaboratoryOff-Campus / Specialty Care Consults & ReferralsCase ManagementCommunicationCounselingAdditional Responsibilities described in the job description For a complete job description with all responsibilities visit Requirements:Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferredAt least 5 years of clinical experienceCurrent Licensure as a Registered Nurse in MA in good standingHold current CPR/AED certificationFive to seven years of experience in Adolescent Medicine, Urgent Care/ER, Ambulatory Care or School health strongly preferredMaintains professional continuing education required for registered nurse licensure in Massachusetts Ideal CandidatePossesses strong independent decision-making skills. Promotes health and wellness to all students.Likes to work in a dynamic environment and has the ability to manage multiple projects at a given time.Is willing to assist with all aspects of the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center operation to assure the delivery of high-quality services.Maintains a high level of confidentiality required of all health care professionals.
