On our G80 Complex Medical Care and Nutritional Insufficiency Unit, you will be caring for adult patients with complex multi-system failure issues, such as congestive heart failure and sepsis. You will also be taking care of patients with Nutritional Deficiencies, which is unique to our G80 unit. Many of our patients also require ongoing cardiac monitoring, so you will be trained in Cardiac Dysrhythmia and EKG interpretation. A caregiver in this position works as needed on day, evening, night and/or weekend shifts. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). External applicants: two years of recent nursing experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
