- This is a 1-year Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency based at the Avera Human Performance Center.
- We welcome current clinicians or recent graduates ready to enhance their skills in manual therapy, orthopedics, and clinical reasoning.
- Avera Health has partnered with Evidence in Motion to provide this residency program, accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE).
- Your clinical mentors will include Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (OCS) and/or Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services daily, implementing tailored treatment programs for individuals and groups based on established departmental objectives.
- Work under the supervision of the Residency Program Coordinator and assigned mentors.
- Engage in the structured educational program designated by the department and Residency Program Coordinator.
Education and Experience Required:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of South Dakota.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM; working 80 hours over a 2-week period.
Pay Range:
- Starting at $33.50 per hour, with actual rates depending on experience.
