Responsibilities
nnn
You will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses, and you will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills.
n
n - Participating in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
n - Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising OT and COTA students.
n - Ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
n - Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
n - Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions, as needed.
n - Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
n - Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Qualifications
nn
Minimum requirements:
n
n - Must hold a valid, current license in the State in which they are practicing.
n - Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
n - Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
n - Eligibility to take or has passed the examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the NBCOT.
n - Successful completion of the National Registry Examination.
