Ensures proper information is obtained for physician diagnosis.nnJob ResponsibilitynnPrepares patient for examination.nnExplains procedure in layman terms to relieve patient of anxiety.nnEnsures patient is screened according to protocol, and assures consent for the procedure has been obtained, when necessary.nnPositions patient for optimum testing procedure and conditions.nnSets-up equipment to administer the proper procedure in timely fashion.nnObtains x-ray images of anatomical area of interest as prescribed for physician interpretation.nnMonitors patient condition by directly observing patient during examination, recognizing and reporting abnormal changes.nnAcknowledges and reviews images in computer system.nnEnsures accuracy of all patient data. Processes imaging and prints CDs, as required.nnGathers previous related patient reports, as required.nnPerforms minor repairs and adjusts equipment, as required.nnAdheres to Infection Control guidelines in the performance of duties.
