Job Description:nnThe CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position uses ingenuity, iniative, and independent judgement to perform high quality scans.nnJob EssentialsnnEnsures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.nnPerforms exams per department protocol.nnUnderstands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates anatomical positioning competency.nnFamiliar with the ALARA program and follows proper radiation safety protocol.nnDemonstrates ability to critique own films.nnCompletes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.nnDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of protocol relating to contrast administration.nnAs ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision administers oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients.nnPractices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.nnProvides appropriate patient education and ensures patient comfort.nnUnderstands and operates CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure that quality images are produced.nnExhibits working knowledge of contrast injectors and laser printers.nnExhibits understanding and proficiency with electronic imaging. Incumbent will be able to view, transfer and manipulate images.nnThoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.nnFollows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur for quality, maintaining a current QC program for ACR and reporting any equipment failures or problems.nnShift Detailsnn*This position does qualify for a Sign on Bonus of up to $7500.nnFull time (35 hours a week)nn7 on - 7 off, night shiftnn10-12 hour shiftsnnMonday - Friday (9:00 pm - 6:00 am), Saturday - Sunday (6:00 am - 6:00 pm)nnThere is a shift differential of 10%-15% due to the night shift.nnMust be available for some weekends and Holidays.nnMinimum QualificationsnnRadiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)nnRelevant State licensure (where required)nnDemonstrated CT proficiencynnBasic Life Support(BLS) certification (healthcare)nnPost-hire expectation: Meets departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire.nnPost-hire expectation: (Where applicable) Must complete the controlled substance module within six months of hire.nnPost-hire expectation: (Where applicable) Must complete the initial moderate sedation module within six months of hire.nn(Where applicable) Must complete the initial moderate sedation module within six months of hire.nnPreferred QualificationsnnCT Certification/Registration (ARRT)nn1+ year(s) CT experiencennPhysical Requirements:nnHearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Standing.nnLocation:nnIntermountain Health Logan Regional HospitalnnWork City:nnLogannnWork State:nnUtahnnScheduled Weekly Hours:nn35nnThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
