• C.T. Tech certified preferred

n Job Summary
nThe Computed Tomography (C.T.) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
nDutiesnn

• Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scann
• Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinationsn
• Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of proceduresn
• Take patient medical history before an examn
• Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstratedn
• Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathologyn
• Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patientsn
• Supervised by a board-certified radiologist but afforded a great amount of independence and responsibilityn
• Performs other duties as assignedn
