Utilizes appropriate techniques and materials.nnPerforms clinical procedures safely.nnUtilizes appropriate clinical judgment in providing care.nnComplies with OSHA regulations and infection control standards.nnEncourages and promotes patient/family independence.nnDevelops, evaluates, and revises patient care goals in conjunction with the patient and family.nnActs as a patient advocate.nnSeeks assistance when establishing a plan of care when necessary.nnCoordinates goal directed, cost effective care for primary patients and demonstrates appropriate use of community resources to deliver comprehensive individualized care.nnCommunicates with MD, family and interdisciplinary care providers to clarify care and increase awareness of significant changes in condition in a timely manner.nnDischarges patients when goals are met.nnParticipates in formal and informal case conferences.nnProvides adequate education and training of patients and families.
