Position : Per Diem Physical Therapist

Location : NovaCare Frederick County Maryland

Setting:  Outpatient Orthopedics

n

Schedule: Per diem, as needed coverage in Middletown, Frederick, and/ or Urbana

n

Center Schedules:  Weekdays (Mon- Fri). Earliest opening, 7AM with last patient 630PM. Individual center location may vary based on day.

We are open to consider physical therapists of all experience levels for per diem and as needed coverage. Our Frederick County OP centers include Frederick, Middletown and Urbana. We have a variety of specialty programs including aquatics, sports medicine, dry needling, neuro, oncology, vestibular, work conditioning, orthotics, and fall prevention, on top of general ortho. An ideal physical therapist has at least one (1) year of experience. We are seeking energetic personalities who can be reliable and flexible on our as needed weekday coverage.

This would be hourly paid position with the ability to participate in locally hosted CEU accrediting courses. No medical benefits are offered for per diem or PRN physical therapists. Future possibilities for steady hours are available. We are currently only seeking as needed coverage.

Responsibilities
n
    n
  • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
  • n
  • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
  • n
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
  • n
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
  • n
  • Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.
  • n

Qualifications
n
    n
  • Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited PT school
  • n
  • Valid State Physical Therapist License
  • n
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
  • n
