EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
n
n- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
n- Current Tennessee Nursing License
n- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
n- Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
n- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
n- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
n- Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordingly
n- Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
n- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
n- Excellent teaching skills
n- Excellent communication and organizational skills
n- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
n- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
n- Strong customer service skills
n- Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
n- Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
