Job Description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.nnPrincipal Accountabilities:nnInterprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.nnOperates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).nnEvaluates CT scans for technical quality.nnUtilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.nnPrepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.nnPerforms other related duties as assigned.nnRequired:nnAccredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).nnAssociate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.nnLicensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.nnPreferred:nnCT Certification preferred.nn#LI-JS2nnABOUT USnnAt Atlantic Health System, our promise to our communities is; Anyone who enters one of our facilities, will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
