Job SummarynnThis Rad Tech position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000.nnThis position is 36 hours/week, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:30pm-7:00am, no call.nnThe Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the operating rooms. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.nnExperience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.nnLicensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.nnAdditional Skills/Requirements (required):nnApplies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.nnDemonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.nnProperly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.nnEnsures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.nnProperly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.nnIndependently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.nnAssists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.nnMobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.nnJob Opening IDnn47716
