Position Title: Local Delivery Driver - Salt Lake City, UT
- Monday through Friday
- Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Our drivers are the heart and soul of our company!. They are the face of Airgas to our customers and are the best of the best in Customer Service and Safety! In particular, you will: - You will deliver compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to Branches and or customers on scheduled daily route.
- Pick up empty cylinders from customer sites.
- Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest.
- Loads/unload truck and set up cylinders for use.
- Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies utilizing Airgas forms and ensures all safety items are in good working order.
Are you a MATCH?
- Class B CDL driver's license with HazMat endorsement. Hazmat can be obtained after the offer.
- At least one full year of experience driving a Class A or B vehicle under DOT requirements.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Card.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
