This is a union position and will be part of Operating Engineers Local 324.nnThe primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:nnTimely delivery of equipment and basic upkeep of the trucknnMinor equipment repairsnnMaintain daily trip logsnnAccurately complete paperworknnIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesnnPerforms other duties as assignednnQualificationsnnMust have at least one year of previous experience driving or military service with MOS Code 88MnnHeavy equipment hauling and tie down experience is a plusnnGood mechanical skills, previous wrenching experience is highly preferrednnMust have clean driving record and valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class A certificationnnKnowledge of DOT lawsnnGood people skillsnnLanguage Skills - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.nnMathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
