They will drive vulnerability remediation, hardening, securitynnarchitecture review, and similar technical capabilities. They are also expected to lead efforts in maturingnngovernance processes including documentation of policies and procedures.nnKey Responsibilities:nnImplement, manage, and monitor security measures to protect Cutsforths networks, systems,nnproducts, and data.nnReduce attack surface and implement secure configurations for systems and applicationsnn(hardening).nnSupport implementation of security improvement projects such as browser and systemnnhardening, DLP controls, USB encryption, etc.nnDrive improvement of and participate in security incident analysis and response.nnPerform security reviews of new products and vendors to ensure processes are achievingnnbusiness objectives while minimizing new risks.nnLead the Cybersecurity teams efforts in the documentation of cybersecurity policies andnnprocedures.nnDrive maturity across a wide array of technical and governance processes as Cutsforth alignsnnwith industry security frameworks, such as NIST SP800-53.nnSupport contract review to ensure Cutsforths capabilities align with customer requirements.nnRequired Qualifications:nn5+ years of experience in technical security roles including vulnerability management andnnsecurity control testing or implementation in an enterprise environment.nn3+ years of experience performing security governance and risk management responsibilitiesnnthat included some form of technical writing.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnBachelor's degree in cybersecurity or relevant technology program is preferred.nnCISSP, CySA+, or similar industry certifications are preferred.nnnnnnSecurity EngineernnJob PostingnnThe role requires broad technical knowledge across IT and cybersecurity topics to supportnnimplementation of controls and tools used to secure enterprise environments.nnExperience in performing security review and administration activities in Microsoft environmentsnnis preferred (Microsoft Security and Compliance center, etc.).nnFamiliar with concepts of the Cyber Kill chain/MITRE ATTACK and mitigating techniques.nnStrong self-learning skills and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.nnAdept technical writing and research capabilities.nnOther Qualifications:nnSuccessfully pass background check for cybersecurity access requirements.nnVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.nnMust reside in the United States.nnWe are not accepting applicants for remote workers in California, Illinois, and New York at thisnntime.nnCybersecurity Role Expectations:nnCandidate will be respons ible for reviewing policies and procedures related to cybersecurity andnnthose relevant to the functions of their role.nnCandidate is expected to maintain a cybersecure work environment.nnPhysical Requirements:nnMust be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.nnMust be able to use hands to type, handle products, parts objects, and tools and to navigatenncomputer keyboard and machine controls.nnSpecific vision abilities required by this job includ
