Job DescriptionnnAs an Oracle Cloud Database Administrator (Exadata/ExaCS) Production DBA, you will be part of Cloud Hosting Operations team, responsible for all aspects of database administration for our production and development database environments that support over 20k NetSuite Cloud customers.nnOur DBA team focuses on creating, configuring, and maintaining Oracle database servers on bare metal, ExaCS, and autonomous databases in Oracle Cloud (OCI). Database Administrator manages our ever-growing farm of production databases and other technologies that are essential to the operation of NetSuite’s cloud service. Work closely with operations engineers and application developers to ensure database integrity, availability, and performance.nnThis role is office reporting to Austin, TX for the first 6 months with a possibility of hybrid after the initial 6-month period.nnRequirements:nnDegree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.nn5-10 years of professional experience and a general awareness of Oracle best practices.nnOracle administration skills in a Linux/UNIX environment.nnOracle Database Cloud (18c, 19c, 21c), Exadata / ExaCS, Autonomous database experience.nnStrong understanding and hands-on experience of database infrastructure (backup/recovery using RMAN, Data Guard, high availability, Oracle RAC, SAN and Network).nnStrong understanding of hardware performance, memory and I/O.nnExtensive knowledge and experience with conducting SQL and DB performance tuning, scalability/capacity planning.nnSolid experience with SQL/PLSQL, UNIX shell scripting, Python or similar.nnShould be comfortable deploying and maintaining large scale database systems (perform audits, troubleshoot issues, apply patches, perform major upgrades).nnGood understanding and hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining Cloud database solutions – DbaaS and ExaCS in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud solutions/hosting providers like Azure or AWS.nnMust have excellent communication and technical documentation skills.nnAbility to learn quickly in a fast-paced, agile team environment.nnAbility to produce quality work on tight schedules.nnAbility to solve problems, make sound decisions and use good judgement.nnMust be able to provide on-call support on rotation schedule.nnMust be local and commutable to Austin location – office reporting for the first 6-months with a possibility of hybrid after that period.nnMust be willing to work on-call according to schedule rotation.nnCareer Level - IC3nnResponsibilitiesnnProvide support for large scale, high-performance Oracle database instances across production and development environments.nnFocus on automation to improve availability and scalability in our production environments.nnHelp architect existing and new services in our production environments.nnManage database replication (Oracle Data Guard) and maintain high availability.nnHelp author tools that reliably manage database infrastructure.nnLeverage a framework/tools to rollout infrastructure changes and perform routine maintenances.nnSupport current security and compliance activities for our Database Infrastructure.nnDesign and execute overall database architecture strategy, standards and practices as part of a team.nnProactively identify areas for optimization and troubleshoot database performance issues.nnWork closely with Application Development team to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.nnImprove service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process.nnDeploy, administer and maintain Cloud database solutions (DbaaS) in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).nnImplement and maintain database backup and recovery, disaster recovery procedures.nnServe in an on-call rotation as an escalation contact for critical production issues.nnDisclaimer:nnCertain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.nnRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations onlynnUS: Hiring Range in USD from $38.03 to $76.06 per hour; from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum.
