Job SummarynnThe Accounting Clerk is responsible for the accounts payable/accounts receivable functions at the hotel as applicable; ensuring invoices are received and/or processed on a timely basis responsible for handling all the hotel deposits in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality Standards. In addition The Accounting Clerk also assists the Property Accountant with the administration of the Accounting area including Accounts Payable Human Resources and Payroll.nnResponsibilitiesnnQUALIFICATIONS:nnHigh School diploma or equivalent required.nnCollege course work in related field helpful.nnExperience in a hotel or a related field preferred.nnHigh School diploma or equivalent required.nnCollege course work in related field helpful.nnExperience in a hotel or a related field preferred.nnRESPONSIBILITIES:nnApproach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service oriented manner.nnMaintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.nnMaintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)nnComply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.nnEnsure hotel billing is processed and mailed in a timely fashion.nnMake phone calls to all new billings and outstanding accounts to keep Accounts Receivable Aging in line with Accounting S.O.P.'s and corporate standards.nnGenerate an aging report as directed by Corporate Office.nnMaintain a filing system for direct billing.nnAs directed assist the Property Accountant with Accounts Receivable administration.nnAssist the Property Accountant with the administration of Accounts Payable including processing invoices for payment and maintenance of the checkbook accounting system.nnParticipate in bi-monthly credit meeting and give status of accounts.nnAssist the Property Accountant with the administration of Human Resources issues including processing New Hire Paperwork payroll administration and distribution of paychecks.nnAssist with other accounting duties as directed by the Property Accountant.nnAssist with filing of Human Resources and Accounting Paperwork.nnAssist Human Resources with Training Tracking and File Audit processnnAssist Property Accountant with maintaining rolodex for direct bill accounts.nnOther duties as required.nnProperty DetailsnnElegantly presiding over the City of Angels, The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites provides the ultimate urban oasis in the heart of the business district.
