We achieve this through advanced analytics that enables objective evaluation of physician performance related to our two key metrics: Efficiency of Care (cost) & Effectiveness of Care (quality).nnHumana is seeking a Senior Informaticist on the Physician Performance Analytics team that leverages their advanced knowledge of data, statistical analysis, problem solving, business analytics, modeling, optimization, and related tools. Utilizes strategic thinking capabilities and is curious about results extracted from the data in order to investigate drivers and propose recommendations. Leads and will be highly engaged in various strategic projects and initiatives, partnering and collaborating with multiple areas across the organization, including with Markets on various network initiatives.nnDevelops or has a deep understanding of physician networks, physician performance and rating metrics (claims, measures, conditions, specialties, etc.), product offerings, and analytics-based approaches, which produce meaningful resultsnnDesigns new ways and/or improves current methods to evaluate physician performance measurements and supports conversations/alignment with other areas around physician performance analyticsnnPulls and analyzes data using statistical models, techniques, formulas, and calculationsnnResearches and extracts insights from complex data and reports out on both quantitative and qualitative findingsnnExecutes on existing data related and technical processes to support core functions, which requires significant SQL coding skills and problem solving abilitynnCreates, reviews, researches, and/or executes complex queries, all while understanding the business context and expected resultsnnUtilizes project management skills (Agile methodology) where applicablennSupports building/modifying (or directly builds/modifies) new reports, models, and dashboardsnnApplies disciplined approaches to optimize programs to maximize revenue growthnnIdentifies opportunities to implement process improvements across various functions (Six Sigma and Lean principles)nnEffectively communicates to diverse audiences and manages key relationshipsnnEnjoys working in a highly collaborative team environmentnnUse your skills to make an impactnnRequired QualificationsnnBachelor's Degreenn3+ years of experience in the healthcare sectornn5+ years of data analytics experiencennExperience using SQL/PL SQLnnExperience with data mining, statistical approaches, and using data to drive business outcomes and decisionsnnExcellent verbal and written communicationnnAble to articulate and present findings to internal and external stakeholdersnnStrong attention to detailnnPreferred QualificationsnnMaster's DegreennExperience with claims data and cost efficiency of carennPreferred technologies such as SAS, Python, Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, ASA, Hadoop or similar toolsnnExpert in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modelingnnSix Sigma or Lean certificationnnAdditional InformationnnThis role is considered "remote/work at home" and can be based anywhere in the United States with preference given to candidates in the Eastern or Central Time ZonennWork-At-Home RequirementsnnTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:nnAt minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggestednnSatellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadershipnnEmployees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.nnHumana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.nnWork from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information ?nnScheduled Weekly Hoursnn40nnPay RangennThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
