PET/CT Technologist Location: VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans)

Position Overview: Join our Nuclear Medicine team performing advanced PET/CT procedures for our veterans. This role combines nuclear medicine expertise with CT imaging in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform PET/CT scans following established protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Monitor radioactive materials usage and disposal
- Maintain radiation safety standards
- Process and review image quality
- Coordinate with nuclear medicine physicians
- Document procedures and maintain records
- Participate in radiation safety committees
Required Qualifications: - NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine
- CT certification (NMTCB or ARRT)
- Current state licensure
- BLS certification
- Radiopharmaceutical handling experience
- Strong patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years PET/CT experience
- Experience with multiple PET/CT systems
- Oncology imaging experience
- Prior VA or military healthcare experience
Schedule & Tours of Duty: These positions require rotating shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The three standard shifts are:
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
- Evening Shift: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Additional Schedule Information: - Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
- Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Call coverage may be required based on department needs
- Schedule is posted two weeks in advance
- Must be able to report to any of the three VA facilities as needed:
- Manhattan Campus
- Brooklyn Campus
- St. Albans Community Living Center
