Job Description Summary:nnThis position performs a variety of procedures utilizing nuclear medicine, mobile nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment. Performs independently under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine (NM) Manager and Radiologists (Authorized Users).nnQualifications:nnGraduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiological Technology required.nnCurrent Montana Radiological Technology License as required by law.nnA minimum of one (1) of the following certifications required:nnARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)nnNMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)nnRegistered in Nuclear Medicine NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) and/or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or must be successfully obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.nnCurrent CPR preferred or must be successfully obtained during orientation.nnComprehensive knowledge of anatomy required.nnTo be eligible for the Mobile Nuclear Medicine Driving portion of the position:nnMust possess Montana CDL Class B License or above to drive Mobile Nuclear Medicine Unit.nnMust possess a good driving record clear of moving violations in the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).nnIn addition, personal vehicles/rental cars used for LH business:nnCurrent Driver’s License required.nnDriving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any, Major driving offenses (i.e.; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.)nnState law minimum liability coverage limits required.nnExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.nnCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.nnExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.nnPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.nnJob Specific Duties:nnPerforms Nuclear Medicine, Mobile Nuclear Medicine (NM) and PET/CT procedures.nnParticipates and coordinates patient care and flow. Greets and escorts patients from inside the medical facility to the mobile vehicle. Assists patients on/off the vehicle as needed. Uses mechanical lift when necessary.nnMaintains understanding of and follows current exam protocols.nnMaintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.nnAssists with maintaining and ordering supply stock as directed.nnExhibits knowledge and ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment on mobile NM vehicle, including network communications.nnMaintains equipment and coordinates repairs and service as needed or directed.nnPrepares the mobile vehicle for patient care. Stocks vehicle with appropriate supplies for necessary procedures. Prepares examination room for use.nnReadies the devices for the day by setting up and powering on the computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.nnDriver job duties as appropriate with qualifications and training. May be required to drive the mobile unit in special situations.nnThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
