BUSINESS CONTROLS LEADnnWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?nnThe primary responsibility for this role is identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on all key non-financial risks related to CNB's Mortgage business, which is part of the Consumer Banking group. Sitting within the 1LOD Controls Team, this individual will act as a trusted advisor to Mortgage and Controls Team leadership through monitoring of business risks and controls. Coordinates Risk Registers to support the overall Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Will work with business partners and risk units, to help prepare for testing , audits and other related risk activities. Provides risk management expertise while working with operations managers and other 2nd line risk partners (to include Operational and Enterprise Risk Management teams, Regulatory Compliance, Business Continuity, IT Risk, Third Party Risk, Corp. Security, etc.). Also responsible for promoting risk awareness within their own Business Unit.nnWhat you will donnWorks with unit Operations Managers to identify, design, document and implement appropriate controls within the organization.nnAct as subject matter expert for the activities performed in the respective division and their associated risk exposures.nnProvides advice, support, and strategies to Line of Business units on regulatory interactions as applicablennBuild, cooordinate, and lead monthly risk working groups to show thematic trends, themes, testing and audit updates, and business needs regarding risk program maturity in conjunction with key objectives.nnAdhere to a consistent approach in executing key program components for all operational risks, including Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA's), Key Risk Indicators (KRI's), Issue Management and Operational Losses.nnEnsure business/strategic plans are consistent with the Risk Appetite Framework and organizations KRI's and KPI's.nnBuilds and sustains effective relationships across the enterprise.nnStays abreast on specific reporting standards, department reporting requirements and bank changes/enhancements.nnProvide guidance and leadership on relevant risk and control matters such as monitoring operational developments and providing updates to appropriate managers, and research and prepare for resolutionnnCoordinate the completion of issues and action plans and providing status updates of open/closed issues to owners and leadershipnnMust-Have *nnBachelor's Degree or equivalentnnMinimum 6-8 years of experience working in financial Industry, preferably in a regulatory-facing rolennMinimum 6-8 years of experience in banking operations, compliance and/or risk management activitiesnnMinimum 5 years in mortgage or consumer lendingnnMinimum 3 years of operational risk management control design, testing, and/or auditing in a financial institution.nnMinimum 3 years of Advanced level experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPointnnSkills and KnowledgennStrong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, as well as effectively building relationships within the Bank.nnExceptional writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into effective presentations to external regulators and Senior Executives.nnWorking knowledge in a broad range of risk management disciplines including credit, financial, supply chain, market, and operational risks.nnAutonomous, detail oriented and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.nnExperienced in interaction with senior management, project and time management, and issue management with excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills.nnDemonstrated ability to think critically and facilitate change through collaborative effort. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.nnSelf-motivation, discipline, task focus, the ability to structure and present work and a proven record of delivering high quality results within strict deadlines.nnMust have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize several concurrent initiatives, both individually and for leadership.nnCompensationnnStarting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
