In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for assisting the physicians in the delivery of safe, age-appropriate patient care during procedures in Nuclear Cardiology. Works collaboratively with the RNs and MDs in a Health team forum to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care.nnJob Responsibilities:nnConsistently complies with regulatory and WUH policies governing safety standards and infection control. Complies with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Nuclear (ICANL) Standards.nPerforms Nuclear stress testing, cardiac viability studies, calibrations and quality control procedures.nOrganizes the nuclear stress schedule. Responsible for maintenance and ordering of nuclear equipment and supplies.nProduces accurate floods on cameras and diagnostic images for interpretation.nPerforms other duties as assignednParticipates in updating and developing all policies and procedures for nuclear cardiology testing. Participates in the orientation of new employees as needed.nMaintains all isotope records and properly disposes radioactive waste via the Hot Lab.nParticipates in cleaning the area before, during and after procedures. Ensures area is safe. Reports abnormal calibrations or images.nnMinimum Qualifications:nTo qualify you must have a Graduate of a program in Nuclear Medicine Technology. New York State Radiologic Tech License. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified. Basic Life Support (BLS). Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office). Full working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment and Radiation Physics.. Required Licenses: Radiologic Tech Lic - NYS, Nuclear Med Tech Cert (NMTCB), Am Registry Of Radiologic TechnnPreferred Qualifications:n1 - 2 years One year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.nnQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
